Volunteer with Camp Can Do

 Become part of the Camp Can Do experience! Volunteers help make camp fun, safe, and unforgettable for every camper. We welcome adult volunteers to join for a full or partial week, helping with activities, crafts, outdoor games, and themed events. 

When:  June, 22-26 2026 

WHERE: Cumming First United Methodist Church

                 770 Canton Hwy  Cumming, GA 30040  

Volunteer hours: Check In 7:30 AM 

                               Check Out 4:15 PM

 Volunteers support a variety of camp activities and events. Roles may include:

• Activity Leader (archery, water games, crafts)
• Unit Leader (overseeing small camper groups) 
• Snack & Meal Helpers 
• Themed Event Support (Alice in Wonderland activities) 
• Onsite Safety & Supervision

• Must be active, registered members of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta (GSGATL)
   
• Must have a successful background check on file
   
• Complete required online council training via your MyGS page at girlscoutsatl.org 
  • GSUSA Girl Scouts Levels and Your Role as a Troop Leader 
  • 333 – Safety First 
  • 333 – Mandated Reporter 
  • GSUSA Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Course
     
• Attend onsite training / orientation before camp: 
  • Saturday, June 20, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

 As a thank you for your time, adult volunteers receive discounts for their campers:

• $15/day worked discount on 1st camper
• $10/day discount on 2nd and 3rd campers
   

Pixies Program:

• Children ages 5 and younger (boys and girls) may attend Pixies days for $10/day
• Parents MUST be present on Pixies days
• Children must be potty trained
