Camp Aide-in-training (C.A.T.)

Leadership

Camp Aide-in-Training C.A.T.

Camp Can Do offers a special program for incoming 7th graders and up.

C.A.T.s will spend time learning leadership skills, experiencing camp activities while learning how to lead them, and spending time helping younger campers learn new skills.

They will round out their week at camp with art, archery, crafts, outdoor cooking, kayaking, and so much more!  Adults volunteers are on hand for safety and support.

What do CATs do?

  • Help plan camp activities
  • Lead activities in their unit
  • Act as role models to their girls
  • Make camp AWESOME

Campers love their CATs because these young women make camp special!

CAT Requirements

To be a CAT, you must:

  • Be a rising 7 th grader or above
  • Complete CAT training, which is typically offered in May or early June preceding camp
  • Be ready to take on a leadership role at camp

Going into 7th grade but not sure you are ready to be a CAT? That’s ok. You can be a trailblazer an extra year! Register as a camper instead.

CAT Planning Meetings

CATs are very involved in planning camp, including choosing the camp theme. We typically meet once a

month during the spring to plan activities. All planning meetings are optional, but encouraged.

CAT Support

Our CAT Herder, “Mo”, is happy to answer questions and support CATs and their parents.  Contact Us.
